Shae Hinson, Chief Executive Officer

As NRG’s Chief Executive Officer, Shae Hinson oversees NRG’s management team and guides the direction of the company. Prior to serving as CEO, he worked as a Data Processor and Project Manager for the company. In those capacities, he established processes for collections, managed software development for an EMS data collection system, and designed software to import data into the billing system.

Prior to joining NRG, Shae founded Every Tribe, Inc., a non-profit organization operating in South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. He continues to serve as Executive Director, preparing and managing budgets, establishing goals and priorities, chairing board meetings and directing fundraising efforts for foreign mission.

Shae has a Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration. He is a member of the American Ambulance Association and the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA). His clinical background as a licensed EMT, coupled with his business degree, has made him an invaluable part of the NRG leadership team.

Jodi Sappe, Chief Operating Officer

NRG’s Chief Operating Officer, Jodi Sappe, is responsible for all daily billing operations. She has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and prior employment in operations management. Jodi joined the NRG team in 2009 and has effectively accelerated the company’s dynamic customer service program, streamlined processing, and increased company profitability. Her methodologies have enabled the company to maximize reimbursement and increase cash for NRG customers.

Russell Honeycutt, Chief Compliance Officer

Russell Honeycutt is NRG’s Chief Compliance Officer and is regarded as one of the leading experts in the field of EMS reimbursement. His current responsibilities include serving as Compliance Officer and representing NRG and the Ambulance Industry on various local and national boards. He represents NRG’s clients, the EMS industry, and the company before CMS, Congress, and State Governments relative to EMS reimbursement issues. He is an active member of the American Ambulance Association (AAA), currently serving as Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee, the AAA Representative to the ASCX12 Committee and liaison to the Railroad Medicare Carrier.

Additionally, Russell serves on the Education and Regulatory Committees, which are responsible for the oversight of legislative and regulatory issues that affect EMS providers nationwide. He was previously a member of the Finance Issues Task Force of the Negotiated Rulemaking Team, a twelve-year member of the Reimbursement Committees for the North Carolina and Georgia EMS Provider Associations, member of the Finance Issues Task Force of the Negotiated Rulemaking Team and a ten-year member of the Federal Reimbursement Committee.

LeAnn Ingram, Chief Process Officer

NRG’s Process Controller, Leann Ingram, manages all process development, implementation, and process results. Leann has bachelor’s degree in Math and Accounting as well as holds a certificate of Certified Ambulance Coder. Since joining the NRG team in 2006, she has become an expert in EMS billing. Her daily responsibilities focus on healthcare reimbursement in four states. Her extensive knowledge with HIPAA, Medicare Part B, Medicaid and commercial insurance claims processing and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act provide an essential link between NRG Management and daily operations.

Joey McHugh, Chief Technology Officer

As NRG’s Chief Technology Officer, Joey McHugh develops and implements the company’s technology strategy. His focus is on navigating the NRG team of technology experts through the implementation of the latest technologies in software and hardware while utilizing the company’s remarkable technological resources to provide better services for clients.

Joey has a Masters degree in Software Engineering, a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and over nineteen years of prior experience in the defense and aerospace industry with duties ranging from software development, systems engineering, technical marketing, and management. He joined the NRG team in 2010 and has focused the NRG IT Team on major internal infrastructure improvements and the development of the next generation of EMS software. By maximizing the effectiveness of the company’s networking systems, servers, data storage devices and software development methodologies, NRG clients are afforded all the benefits that the most current technology has to offer.
